March 11, 2017 9:30AM: Trail Work Day on the Bourne's branch Trail-We will meet at Hungry Horse East Horse Camp (2255 Brush Creek Road, Ivanhoe) at 9:30. Please park in the gravel lots, NOT ON THE GRASS.

We will proceed on horseback to the Yellow Branch and Bourne’s Branch Trails.  We will be clearing trail of winter debris and clearing a section where some big trees came down. There are likely to be more folks than can work safely in one place so we will scout other areas along the way (ahead of time) that can be worked on. Things to bring - Hand saws, loppers, nippers or whatever your favorite tool of destruction is. Bring work gloves, water and snack or lunch. If your horse is a tree chewer then bring an extra rope to cross tie them. if you are not up to physical work you can be a horse holder. If you are chainsaw certified, let me know if you can make it.  If you don’t ride and want to help we will find something to do near the trail head. We plan on being out for around 4 hours or so. Please contact me if you plan on coming so we can plan accordingly.

Please contact Nancy Sluys at minglewood@surry.net if you are planning on attending.
